Meizu 16, an upcoming flagship smartphone from Meizu, is expected to be launched in August, 2018. There’s a lot of anticipation going on about this device. The company founder, Jack Wong has been revealing features of the flagship smartphone one-by-one. The latest hint was a pressure sensitive mBack button.
We know that the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdrafon 845 SoC and will boast a full screen display. The details of the feature were posted on a Chinese website called My Drivers. The post reveals that home button will be incorporated with Meizu’s mBack gestures.
As per previous rumors, Meizu is planning to release two variants of this smartphone called Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus. The former is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 710 SoC, while the latter will be coming with Snapdragon 845 SoC. In terms of storage, the Meizu 16 might be available with 6GB of RAM with storage options of 64GB and 128GB, while the Meizu 16 Plus comes with 8GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB and 256GB.
The mBack button has a simple functionality. A simple tap on the home button will take you back in an application, while pressing the button harder will take you back to the homescreen. You can even assign shortcuts when you swipe left or right on the home button.
