After taking a brief break from Tablet production, Samsung seems to be entering tablet market again. There has been a talk about the Galaxy Tab S4 (SM-T835), a Galaxy Tab A2 XL (SM-T590 / SM-T595) and a Galaxy Tab Advanced 2 (SM-T583). A manual for Galaxy Tab Advanced 2 has somehow surfaced online, and it gives us an idea of what the device will look like, as well as some of the features it might bring.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Advanced 2 Specifications
The device looks to be the upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1, whose model number is SM-T580. The new tab will have a 10 inch with a 1920 x 1200 pixel display, a Samsung Exynos 7870 processor, and a body that measures about 9.9″ x 6.5″ x 0.3″. The manual also shows support for Bluetooth 4.2, microSD, surround-effect sound with Dolby Atmos, and Bixby.
Leaked images in the manual shows that the tablet has no home button, possibly in keeping with modern design. Charging might be via USB Type-C, and there is a front camera with LED flash. The device runs Android Oreo out-of the box and has top-notch speakers with Dolby Atmos technology for surround-sound audio and weighs just 525 grams.
Samsung has also added support for MicroSD card but the internal storage is still unknown. Samsung Galaxy Advanced 2 will also pack a front LED flash for selfies. The rear camera features autofocus, HDR and a panorama modus.
The launch dates are still not known but we expect the device to be launched soon. Last month a Samsung tablet with model number SM-T583 passed several certifications agencies, including Bluetooth, FCC and the RRA in Korea. It is believed this will be the Samsung Galaxy Tab Advanced 2.
