Xiaomi Redmi 5 was released in India on March 14. The device is a revamped version of Redmi 4 that has upgraded specifications and some cool features. The phone was originally released in China in December last year. With this launch Xiaomi has redefined budget segment smartphone market.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 Specifications and Features
The device looks like compact version of Redmi Note 5, thanks to 18:9 display aspect ratio with FHD+ resolution. The screen size has been bumped to 5.7 inch. It comes with reinforced corners which disperses the impact from a drop and prevents the screen from shattering. Xiaomi has abandoned physical navigation keys because of 18:9 display.

On the front it has a 5-megapixel sensor accompanied by an LED flash, a new addition on Xiaomi smartphones. The smartphone is embedded with Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset and Adreno 506 GPU.
