It has been a long wait since Lenovo launched its last device. According to an official announcement, the Lenovo S5 will be released on March 20. The second teaser was released on March 14 and it shows metal unibody, a fullscreen display, dual camera with bokeh effect and Face Unlock.
Last week, Cheng posted the first teaser in reply to Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun who took to Weibo to announce the launch of Snapdragon 636 running Redmi Note 5 in China. Cheng in his reply claimed that the new phone from the company will offer better performance than the Note 5.
Lenovo S5 Specifications

The TENAA listing mentions single camera of 8-megapixel but the images show that the device is featuring dual rear cameras with LED flash. For the front, it is having an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
The device will be running Android 8.0 Oreo and has connectivity options like 4G-LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS/A-GPS and a micro USB port. The dimensions of the phone are 154 × 73.5 × 7.8 mm and it weighs 165 g. According to listing, the S5 will be available in Black, Red and Silver colour options.
Lenovo S5 launch date India
It’s worth mentioning that Lenovo’s K series has been depleting at an alarming level. It is high time Lenovo starts damage control before they are completely wiped off from India. The S5 will be priced similar to Vibe and K series. The use of Snapdragon 625 is a welcome move from Savvydroid as Lenovo has been using Mediatek for a long time. For now, the launch dates for Indian market hasn’t been revealed yet.
