Motorola will soon be adding three new devices to its G series the Moto G6 Play, Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus. Evan Blass took to Twitter and revealed the codenames of the smartphones. The Moto G6 Play has the codename Ashley, the Moto G6 is called the Blaine whereas the G6 Plus is codenamed Teller. What’s notable is that Motorola didn’t launch the Play variant for its fifth-generation of Moto G smartphones.
Moto G6 Plus Specifications
According to a report, the Moto G6 Plus will be made available in Silver, Gold, White, Blue, and Cyan colour options. It also states that the body will be made from metal with a curved glass at the back. The new device will have dual camera setup at the rear with support for LED flash. Right below the camera setup is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The phone will be embedded with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC, and a 3250mAh non-removable battery. It is speculated to feature a 5.7-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels It also expected to sport an 18:9 aspect ratio display. One key highlight of this device is that it will will be running Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. The power key and volume controls will be located on the right, and the front will have on-screen buttons for navigation.
The RAM and internal storage haven’t been confirmed yet. Rumors suggest to be at least 3GB.
Moto G6 Plus launch date
It will possibly be launched at MWC 2018 alongside Moto G6 and G6 Play. This is because the G5 lineup was also introduced at the same event last year.
