In September of 2017, Xiaomi surprised a lot of people by launching the Xiaomi Mi A1. While a lot of people expected a flagship device in the ‘Mi’ lineup, the Chinese smart phone maker announced its first ever stock Android OS running Mi A1. The device is a part of Google’s Android One program which means that it will receive consistent software updates for a longer period than other smartphones by OEMs that are not a part of the Android One program. If there is a remote possibility of the Xiaomi MI A2 becoming a possibility, what can we expect?
Xiaomi Mi A2 Specifications
Talking about the brand new features and specs that we can expect from the Mi A2, starting off with the processor we expect to see them to be launched Snapdragon 640 Octa Core Processor with 4G RAM and 64/128 GB internal storage, and all this means that you won’t be seeing any performance issues with this device. Moving to the display, it will have a 5.7 inch 18:9 bezel-less display with an FHD+ resolution at 2160×1080. An AMOLED panel can also be there because of the price hike.
As for the camera, you are in a treat as they are said to be using flagship camera sensors in the Mi A2 with an obvious dual camera setup. Apart from better quality and low light performance, we will also get much better loss-less zoom capabilities and Camera 2 API pre-built into the device. Apart from that, you might see an upgrade with the front camera, although that’s very unlikely.
Since the Mi A2 is going to have so many new upgrades, we also expect to see a boost in the battery life too at around 3500 mah. The Xiaomi Mi A2 is also rumored to have Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type C port, and memory card support up to 256GB.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Release Date
As for the release date for the Mi A2, we expect it to launch around March 2018 in China and a few months after that in India. We will get an exact date by Xiaomi itself around February or March regarding the launch date of the highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi A2.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Price
The price of the Xiaomi Mi A1, at the time of its launch, was Rs. 14999 which was marginally cheaper than the Moto G5s Plus. However, the launch of the Honor 7X might have made the company reduce the price of the Mi A1 to Rs. 13999. If the Mi A2 were to be launched in India, the price would remain the same at Rs. 14999.
