Redmi Note 5, the upcoming budget smartphone from Xiaomi is all set to be released on 14 February. The device will be available on Flipkart and mi.com via flash sale, may be after a week. There’s a lot of information leaked about this device, from display to processor, launch date to pricing, so lets begin.
Redmi Note 5 India Specifications
The key feature of Redmi Note 5 is 18:9 display aspect ratio with 5.99-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixel) display. Under the hood there will be Qualcomm Snapdragon 636. The handset is expected to come in two variants, one with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and the other with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. What’s interesting to see is Redmi Note 5 will run Android Oreo based on MIUI 9, which is first of its kind from Xiaomi in budget device.
Coming to optics, leaked specs reveal dual camera setup at the rear, featuring a 16MP primary camera sensor and a 5MP secondary camera sensor. The fingerprint sensor will be located right below the rear camera. Xiaomi is also targeting selfie enthusiasts by adding 8MP front camera sensor with 1080p video recording. Lastly, it might be powered by 4100mAh battery.
Redmi Note 5 price in India, availability
There has been no official word about pricing, but a few leaks suggest that the base variant will be priced around Rs 15,400. May be it can go up-to Rs 17K for the 4GB variant. Regarding the colours, black issure, but there might others like Golden or silver.
According to media invites, it says that the event will start at 11:30am on February 14. The flash sale may be held after a week through Flipkart and Mi.con followed by offline stores.
