Samsung on an average releases about 20 smartphones every year. 2018 won’t be any different for Samsung as leaks suggests that there are 24 devices in the pipeline. All of them will be running latest Android 8.0 Oreo. Lets see what Samsung has to offer.
List of Samsung Devices 2018
Firstly we have Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ that will be released at MWC in Barcelona. The Galaxy S9 and S9+ are codenamed as ‘star’ and ‘star2. We will also see Galaxy Note 9 being launched somewhere in September. There may be surprise Galaxy X release too. So these were the flagships, now lets move on-to mid ranged devices.
Samsung’s upper mid-segment smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy C10 and C10 Plus are rumored to arrive with Snapdragon 660 codenamed as c10lte and c10plte. A 2018 variant of Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8+ is also expected.
Coming to mid-range J series smartphones, there may be five J devices launching in 2018. They might be Galaxy J2 (j2y18lte), Galaxy J3 Neo (j3neolte), Galaxy J4 (j4lte), Galaxy J6 (j6lte), and the Galaxy J8 (j8lte). A report says Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Plus will be launched with Iris scanner, which is first in non-flagship device from Samsung.
Tablets might not be in demand now, but Samsung is expected to launch five new Galaxy Tabs. They are Samsung Galaxy Tab s4 (2018), Galaxy Tab E (2018), Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2018, Galaxy Tab 4 (2018). There’s an unknown tablet present on the list as well with ‘gts4llte’ codename.
All these tabs will support LTE because of it’s codenames. Moreover the smartphones and tablets will run Android Oreo out-of the box.
