HTC finally released Androiod 8.0 Oreo for their flagship device, the HTC U11. The update was released on January 30 and has an approximate file size of 1.48GB. The new Androiod version brings in several major performance and UI improvements.


Some Oreo features in this update include Picture-in-Picture, Autofill, Smart text selection, Background limits, adaptive icons, and a redesigned emoji library. The Oreo update for HTC U11 was released in November 2017 for Taiwan users.

HTC U11 Specifications

HTC U11 was launched last year in May, it sports a 5.5-inch Quad-HD (1440×2560 pixels) Super LCD display. Regarding optics, the HTC U11 features a 12MP rear sensor with OIS, f/1.7 aperture, dual-LED flash, and 4K video recording. On the front, it has 16MP sensor with features like Face Detection.

The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. Powered by 3,000 mAh battery this device also supports Quick Charge 3.0.
