A beta update of WhatsApp indicates that there will be a bunch of new features that will be released soon. The current version of  WhatsApp Beta is 2.17.443. Some features that will be introduced include Facebook stickers end Group calling.

WhatsApp is owned by Facebook, and having those cool stickers from Facebook makes WhatsApp experience even better. The new stickers will be available in groups according to their categories on the Android app.

Another suggestion was to introduce group video and voice calling. This feature is already available on Hike and many other. WhatsApp beta users might get this feature soon. Earlier we had mentioned that users could switch between voice and video calls, but this feature has been dropped by WhatsApp for now.

The upcoming Beta update will have new GIF interface. There will be a dedicated button to manage groups that allows the admin to demote or remove a person from a group.

The feature “Reply Privately” was accidentally rolled out by WhatsApp. It allows a user to respond to another user in the group without other group members knowing about it. The feature was later dropped from the beta version of the app.

Last year WhatsApp released slew of new features, will 2018 see similar strategy? With Android Oreo 8.1.0 out, we are waiting for WhatsApp to introduce gesture based navigation. Let us know if you are using WhatsApp Beta.
