Last week OnePlus released Android Oreo for OnePlus 5, and this week it was hinted that OxygenOS Open beta based on Android Oreo for OnePlus 5T will be released soon. OnePlus has broken several promises in the past. A recent example is Oreo update of OnePlus 3 and 3T. Due to performance issues, the update had to be rolled back.

While users were satisfied with Oreo update for OnePlus 5, it left many OnePlus 5T users quizzed. There was no official announcement from the company until yesterday when OnePlus’s Germany twitter handle hinted Oreo for OnePlus 5T.

The tweet said “Christmas is over, but we still have a present for you! 😉 How about the Open Beta for Android Oreo on the #OnePlus5T?”

It didn’t mention when the update will be released, also there’s no official thread on OP forum. The update will be Open Beta, this means any user can participate and give feedback to OnePlus to report bugs.

Once we get the link, we’ll keep updating this page. Most probably by January end a stable build can be hoped for OnePlus 5T users.
