Lenovo owned Motorola is finally ending 2017 on a good note by releasing Android Oreo for Moto X4. While companies like Huawei and Nokia already ahead, Moto left no stone unturned to join the Oreo brigade.
Moto X4 Oreo Update
Oreo update brings in lot of backend as well as frontend changes in Android. The UI might be similar to Nougat, but there are improvements in terms of battery stats, memory consumption etc. The Moto X4 was launched in India on November 13th with pure Stock Android Nougat. Lenovo had promised Oreo updates for X4 but was mum about release date.
Now that the Oreo update has been released, users in India will soon start receiving it. The Android 8.0 Oreo update has a build number of OPW27.2 and will be available in the form of OTA. Stay tuned for more Oreo updates on Moto X4.
Recalling the specs, Moto X4 has full glass body that boasts dual cameras and decent specifications. The phone is available in 3GB and 4GB RAM variants that costs Rs 20,999 and Rs 22,999 respectively.
Moto X4 is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset clocked at 2.2GHz and Adreno 508 GPU. It also has 3,000mAh battery with TurboCharge support. The phone has dual camera setup at the rear- a primary 12MP sensor (f/2.0) paired with a secondary 8MP 120 degree ultra-wide angle sensor (f/2.2). On the front, there’s a 16MP sensor for with an aperture of f/2.0 and a LED flash.
