Within just two weeks after the launch of Lenovo K8 Note, Lenovo has added one more device to their K Series smartphones. The Lenovo K8 Plus was released today which has Dual Camera setup and runs on Pure Stock Android 7.1.1. The phone will be available on Flipkart for Rs 11,999. Basically Lenovo K8 Plus is the watered down version of Lenovo K8 Note. Lets have a brief look at the specs and features.

Specifications and Features

The phone has 5.2 inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 pixels by 1080 pixels. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection and 2.5 D glass to make it look appealing. It will be available in Venom Black and Fine Gold color. The phone is powered by¬†MediaTek’s MTK Helio P25 Octa Core 2.5 GHz chipset paired with 3 GB of RAM. You get 32 GB internal storage, there’s also a scope for MicroSD card if you want to expand the storage (upto 128 GB).

Moving on-to the key feature of this device, Lenovo K8 Plus sports Dual rear cameras. The first one has a 12 MP sensor that clicks normal pictures, the second one has 5 MP sensor that’s used for depth sensing. It also has dual tone LED flash. The front camera has an 8 MP shooter with support for flash. What we liked about this smartphone is its OS, Lenovo has finally ditched it’s bloated Vibe UI and replaced it with Pure Stock Android 7.1.1.

Lenovo K8 Plus has dual SIM capabilities which is not hybrid. This device has a huge 4,000 mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, EDGE, GPS, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspopt and OTG support (2.0). It also has a fingerprint sensor that’s placed right below the dual camera setup. Other sensors include accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, compass.

Savvydroid’s Take:

Lenovo has made Dual Camera smartphones within the reach of common people. The smartphones with this features are being sold for more than 20Kby other manufacturers. Thumbs up if you want to buy this.
